What Scares You The Most?
So I was thinking today about horror movies and different fears they hit on. With me, I think the really unnatural things scare me more and I think that Asian horror movies REALLY pull that off well. There are American movies that do as well but they are really good at that creepiness lol. Oh, and clowns are pretty dang creepy too!
My mom was always more scared of things that touched more on reality. Even the aspect of Freddy Krueger being a child killer/molester even though the rest wasn't more reality based. When I was a kid she used to talk about Last House On The Left and how scary it was. She wouldn't even let me watch it until I was in my teens. Then I watched and I was like, ok, it's a good movie but it didn't really scare me. I had also worked it up way more in my head because she wouldn't let me watch it.
So with that being said, what is your absolute biggest fear? What makes you utterly want to jump out of your skin?

The Lazarus Effect
So last night I got to watch The Lazarus Effect. I had been looking forward to this being available since I didn't get to see it at the theater. The breakdown of the story is these medical students are working on an experiment they discover the ability to bring the dead back to life! Well lets just say something goes horribly wrong. I won't tell much more because I don't want to give the story away.
I liked it! There are a few things that you look at and say "why did they do that" but that is with any movie really. The only thing I didn't like was it felt like it wasn't explained enough. With the way it ended, it could have a sequel.
There were some good scare moment's but not a super scary one for me. I did like it though, it was fun.
What did you think about it? Are you easily scared or does it take more?

The Pyramid
I have to say, I really liked this movie! It was a little different then the usual mummy type horror movie. I am by no means a movie snobby butt so what I think is gonna be different from most the ratings it got. I will watch all kinds if movies. I like it or dislike it for the story they are trying to get across and I am not so quick to say that the CGI is bad or whatever. Some movies you have to accept them for what they are and just enjoy them.
This was a fun one for me and had some good scare moment's. I liked that it was't the usual mummy story, even though I like those as well. There just aren't very many movies made anymore with the Egyptian theme mummies or no mummies.
So what did you think about it?

The Goosebumps Movie
When I was a teenager and my sister was little (10 years difference) I used to read her Goosebumps Books by R.L. Stein, it was our thing. She had collected a large amount of the series. My sister is on the Autism Spectrum and this was one of the things she really enjoyed and so did I. It gave us something to connect with. Love those memories!
Now there is a new Goosebumps movie coming out in theater's in October (which is also my Birthday month). I am planning on taking my sister to go see it :-). It looks good. Not as spooky as some of the other Goosebumps stories but I think it will be good.

Halloween Is Only 3 Months Away!
Yes, that wonderful time of year is right around the corner and I want to be excited even though it is still summer and around 105 degrees most days lol. I am trying to get more in the habit of trying to prepare for Halloween sooner, work on my DIY stuff sooner. Every year I end up scrambling last minute and that just isn't as fun! So this year I am, if nothing else going to start to do some research and planning on what I want to make.
We actually just moved to a 2 story house at the end of a cul de sac road and it has a straight view up the street so I want to do something cool. I wish I had some kind of animatronic skills or something hahaha. I seriously need a handy friend lol! Anyway's, I will post some how to's for what I come up with.
What are your favorite things to make for Halloween? Is there something in particular you are planning on making this year? I would love to know :-)!
