Top 10 Saddest Death's In Horror

On Instagram (@SomethingWickedTWCAZ) I was tagged to list what I think is the saddest death scenes in horror. This was super hard to do, 1 because I have seen so many horror movies and show's and 2 because there are a lot so trying to narrow the number was hard.

I know there are a lot other's but these are some of the one's I thought of without remembering all of the movies I have seen lol.

I can usually deal with human death's in movies, with the exception of kid's....that gets me but just as much as with kid's animal death's are hard as well. There have been some adult death's that have been hard though and I have listed them with the other's.

1. David Drayton's family in The Mist. OMG when I saw this my jaw and my heart hit the floor like a friggin TANK! How awful would that be to know just minute's later you would have all been fine? How could you live knowing this? Soo sad!

2. Gage from Pet Semetary. This was heart wrenching! It was bad when I was a teen but after I had my daughter it was BRUTAL!

3. Casey Becker from Scream. Killed right as she was running to the safety of her returning parent's. That moment when her mom was on the phone and could hear her faint, dying voice killed me! I would have hunted his a** down and well you don't want to know, let's just say it would not be pretty!

4. The Horse in The Walking Dead. This was soooo sad! Rick should have done something to help him :-(. He died horribly and it's sad because in reality, so many animal's have died in service to people.

5. Arthur Kipps and his son in The Woman In Black. Why did he let go of his hand!? Geesh after all that happened I would have a serious grip on my kid and not let go lol. This was sad and touching at the same time. The up side was that they were reunited with his wife but still sad.

6. Izzie from The Pulse. It would be so hard seeing your best friend dying this way and be helpless to do anything. Then she just turns to ash.

7. Joyce Summers from Buffy, The Vampire Slayer. This was sad to me for 2 reasons. 1 because my mom had a lot of health issues while I was growing up and 2 because after all they have done, to lose her mom was heartbreaking.

8. Tara from Buffy, The Vampire Slayer. After everything Willow went through with Tara to have her taken away because of a stray bullet is just awful! This ultimately set Willow on a dark path of destruction and revenge.

9. Marty from Cabin In The Woods. I think the sad part started when Dana shot him. He didn't die from it but it's the betrayal. Then they both die as everything collapses...at least that's what we assume to have happened.

10. Tina from Halloween 5. She had such a great personality in the movie! She died sacrificing herself to save Jamie from Michael.

Bonus
11. Eric from Evil Dead 2013. He fought till the end to help protect his friends. That dude had taken some serious punishment! This movie has some seriously brutal scenes anyways :-).

I was going to put video clips in with this but that would just take away from the effect of seeing it (if you haven't) yourself. If you haven't seen these, you should :-).

Freaky Friday Finds: Zombie Hammer!

I came across something I, myself have to get and that I absolutely had to share with you. As an added bonus it's local! I love discovering new and unique items that fall into the Horror/Gothic/Paranormal theme.

I also happen to collect weapons. Knives, swords, daggers, pretty much anything along that line.

And as you might know, I have a special place in my heart for Zombies!

So when you put these two thing's together you get Zombie Hammer! They have a collection of skull crushing pieces of metal artwork that could make any Zombie Hunter swoon. I know that if there ever is a Zombie Apocalypse  I want to be Very prepared!

I want to start with the original and work my way through the rest.

5 Scary Irish Myths and Monsters

Part of my heritage is Irish and I like learning about my various cultural histories. In honor of this St Patrick's Day, I wanted to share some of the Irish Monsters. Enjoy and remember, Erin Go Bragh and don't steal the Leprechauns gold!

1. The Dearg Due - Which means Red Blood Sucker. This is the Irish version of a Vampire. She was once a beautiful young women who fell in love with a peasant boy. Her parent's did not approve so she killed herself to avoid an arranged marriage she was being forced into.Legend has it she arose from the grave and killed her family to get revenge for her lost love.

2. Cu Dorchadas - Dog of Darkness. They are dog-like solitary apparitions that haunt lonely abandoned places, ruins and churches. They are usually black and have the ability to shapeshift. They come for one of two things an Omen of Doom and Disaster or a Protector of buildings, locations, and travelers from other, more sinister supernatural beings.

3. Each Uisce - A dangerous Waterhorse that attempts to drown and devour humans. It will take the form of a horse and try to get people to ride it. It can also take the form of a human in order to seduce a human and eat them.

4. The Dullahan - A Death Omen in Celtic Mythology the Dullahan is a rider who posses a whip made of a human spine in one hand and his head in the other (somewhat like The Headless Horseman of Sleepy Hollow). When he calls your name the doors to the underworld open and you die immediately. But don't stick around to watch lest your eyes be whipped out by that nasty spine!

5. Caoranach - A monstrous female serpent who is the mother of all demons. She lives in an Irish Lake called Lough Derq.

And as a bonus there is of course The Banshee and The Leprechaun! But most people know about those :-).

The Vampire Huntress Series, L.A. Banks

Okay, so I have already mentioned that Stephen King is one of my all time favorite authors but another one of my favorites is L.A. Banks. I absolutely LOVE her and it's so sad that she passed away! I would have loved to meet her. 

I picked up her book Minion and started reading it and was hooked! I love the story line and I also love how even though it is a horror genre book, it also has this feel good aspect to it.  She had a true talent for immersing you in this world battling evil and the importance of our bonds with family and friends.

The first story tell's about Demali Richards who is a popular Spoken Word Artist and also hunt's vampires and Demons after the sun goes down. She is what is called a Neteru which is a Huntress who is born once every thousand years and tasked with vanquishing the world of evil. She is followed by a group of guardians who are her friends and family and are her diving force behind accomplishing what she is destined to do. 

I can not tell you how hooked on this series I was! I definitely recommend this series. 

T-Shirts!

I have been looking for different ways to turn what I love to do (my horror blog and creating things) into something I can do to earn money and one of the things I came up with is T-Shirt Designs! I love horror shirts so I figured I would start playing around with it and see what I come up with. 

By doing this, it allows me more time to work on my blog and create more spooky things to share with you. Your support means the world to me! Please share the links and help me grow this little idea into something wonderful!

Freaky Friday Finds: The Mysterious Package

This is one of the more interesting thing's I have found recently. A membership company called The Mysterious Package. You can immerse someone in a story with items they can see, touch, and smell. It's like a secret admirer with a story line. Their site say's "We sell stories you can touch".

The person you send it to doesn't know about it. They just start receiving packages. I think this is such an awesome concept! I would love it if I received it!
